出出国解析美国大学面试

     大学入学面试是美国大学历年来传统的考核项目,有的专业要求所有申请者都必须参加面试。随着国内申请人数的增加,而且美国大学对中国学生和学校的情况了解都有限,除了成绩单评估,美国大学也开始祭出面试这面大旗来帮助审核;同时,一些学生也主要要求学校提供面试。但面试是一把双刃剑,面试过程稍有不慎就会给学生的留学申请带来巨大的阻碍。这里出出国的王老师就对面试和面试中遇到的问题,以及如何应对这些问题给大家提供一些参考。

美国大学留学申请面试Tips

面试准备

     知己知彼,百战不殆。就好像打仗要知己知彼一样,多了解面试官对自己也很有好处。适当的邮件来往可以让对方感觉自己比较有诚意可以加深印象。所以面试前最好要通  

过邮件等弄清楚对方的大概身份,是Admission Officer, 还是Alumni,根据面试官和面试场合给出合体的装束。

       熟稔自己申请表格里的内容,许多面试的经典题目多来自于申请表中填过的内容,比如学习的课程,专业兴趣,平时的活动,课外交流,家庭背景,学校环境等。如果你对某项自己的经历说不出具体的内容就不要自己主动提出来。准备几个自己比较有把握的话题,让面试官了解你有某一方面的长项。

       口语尽量熟练、流利。如果口语不是很好,也不要丧失信心,在表达时不要过多重视语法词汇什么的,能让对方舒服的明白你表达的意思即可。

 

           

面试中

     态度要自然,真情流露。谈到兴奋得问题当然可以显得兴奋,如果刚开始紧张就说有一点点紧张,如果自己的意见和面试官的有异议可以不卑不亢的表达,语速不要太快。

     如果内容不是你很感兴趣的,至少要表明你是一个很好的听众,而且可以从中找到自己感兴趣的内容来继续发挥。有时候话题是非常随意的,当你坐到面试的桌前就不是在考察你的过去了,只是在考察你随机应变得能力和你对自己到底了解多少,如果能机智灵巧的把话题印象自己擅长,那么面试官会对你更有兴趣。

     注意交流的细节。一个人的交流方式可以反映出他的性格。在交谈时尽量不要有太多小动作,注视对方的眼睛等等。

     准备一些必要的问题问面试官,这些问题最好能体现你与别人不同的地方。

其他问题

     电话面试比较简单,把申请资料在桌子前打开即可。电话面试审核官主要想了解的是你的表达能力。

     如果面试时间协商,尽量把时间定在双方都比较清醒的时间段。

     面试之后写邮件去感谢人家,得到录取了或者没有录取应该再去感谢一遍。

     如果面试官提到和你一起申请这所学校的你的同学,请用最客气的方式说明你感到很荣幸又这样的朋友和对手和你一起竞争这样一所好大学。

     最后,不管是电话还是面对面的面试,自信放松都是很重要的。
